Abrasive belt CS 811 Y ACT – for applications involving heavy loads

Its high-quality abrasive grain and tear-resistant backing allow the abrasive belt CS 811 Y ACT by Klingspor to deliver a long service life and consistently high quality during work on metal. This abrasive belt is an excellent choice for aggressive grinding on

  • stainless steel,
  • steel and
  • die-cast aluminium.

Its exceptionally high level of aggressiveness and superb abrasive performance make this abrasive belt a particularly good choice for rough sanding, deburring and edge sanding. Its properties make it possible to treat the surfaces of cast, forged and punched parts with ultimate precision. This abrasive belt is best used in combination with pedestal sanders and automatic sanders.

With abrasive material made of hard, tough and self-sharpening zirconia alumina

The abrasive belt CS 811 Y ACT by Klingspor impresses with its blue abrasive and exceptional grain adhesion. The grain is adhered using Advanced Coating Technology (ACT). This special technology shows exceptional performance where grain break out can be an issue in very aggressive applications. The abrasive grain is composed of unusually hard zirconia alumina, which is significantly tougher than other types of grain. Zirconia alumina is characterised by a uniform crystalline structure, which makes it shelf-sharpening. Thanks to the close coating of the grain, the backing of the abrasive belt CS 811 Y ACT is almost covered completely. This coating ensures that the applied force is spread across a large number of grain points, allowing the user to produce a finish of impressively uniform quality.

Equipped with a heavy, stable and tear-resistant backing made of Y-polyester

Klingspor engineered the abrasive belt CS 811 Y ACT especially for tasks that involve exceedingly heavy loads. To fortify it, the abrasive belt has been equipped with a backing made of tear-resistant and waterproof polyester. Compared to other cloth backing materials, this material is significantly more stable. Perfect choice for the grinding of workpieces made of steel, die-cast aluminium and stainless steel. The bonding is made of fully synthetic resin. The abrasive belt CS 811 Y ACT is available with a wide range of grit sizes and as a short and a long belt version.
